There was an old hostel in the city, once crowded with students and working men, but over time it gained a dark reputation. People said that after midnight, strange noises echoed through its narrow corridors—doors slammed shut on their own, footsteps ran across the empty hallways, and shadows moved along the walls even when no one was there.
One evening, Arjun, a young student new to the city, rented a room in this hostel. The first night felt normal, but at exactly 2 a.m., he heard someone knocking on his door. When he opened it, the corridor was empty, only a chilling silence waiting outside. The next night, the same knock came again, louder this time. Terrified, Arjun peeked through the keyhole and saw a pale figure standing still, staring directly into his room.
