Rajiv, an investigative journalist, was determined to uncover the mystery of an old haveli that villagers claimed was haunted. As he walked deeper, he noticed portraits on the walls—faces with hollow eyes that seemed to follow him. Suddenly, a door slammed shut, locking him inside. The temperature dropped, and a woman’s faint cry echoed through the halls. Following the sound, Rajiv reached a dusty room where an old mirror stood cracked. In its reflection, he saw not himself, but a young woman in a bridal dress, her face pale, eyes bleeding tears.
She whispered, “I was betrayed, my soul trapped here forever. Now, you cannot leave.” Before Rajiv could react, the recorder in his hand played the same words back, though he had not spoken. Panic gripped him as invisible hands pulled him closer to the mirror.
The next morning, the villagers found his recorder outside the haveli. It played the chilling voice of the woman, followed by Rajiv’s scream—his body was never found.
