Ratanpur was a quiet village, surrounded by dense forests and eerie silence. On the outskirts stood an ancient mansion, abandoned for decades. Locals believed it was cursed — the spirit of a bride still
wandered there, waiting for her wedding that never happened.
Years ago, on a stormy night, a young bride named Meera was to be married in that mansion. But before the ceremony could begin, her groom mysteriously disappeared. Heartbroken and humiliated, Meera took her own life in her wedding
dress. Since that night, villagers claim to see her ghost — dressed as a bride, holding a wilted garland, crying softly near the old banyan tree.
Ramesh, a traveler unaware of the legend, decided to spend a night in that mansion. As the clock struck midnight, he heard wedding bells and faint laughter.
When he turned around, he saw a woman in a red saree walking toward him — her feet not touching the ground, her eyes filled with sorrow. She whispered, “Will you complete my marriage?”
Ramesh ran out in terror. The next morning, villagers found his belongings but not him. Some say Meera finally found her groom that night.
