In a small deserted village, there stood an old well that no one dared to go near after sunset. The
villagers believed that a woman’s spirit was trapped deep inside it. Years ago, a young woman named Meera had fallen into that well under mysterious circumstances and never returned. Since then, strange things began to happen around the place.
At night, people could hear a woman crying for help, her voice echoing from the depths of the well. Those who
tried to look inside claimed to have seen a pale hand reaching out from the darkness. One man even disappeared after saying he wanted to free her soul. The next morning, only his slippers were found near the well.
Even today, travelers passing by late at night say they hear whispers calling their names and the sound of
someone weeping softly. The villagers have sealed the well with stones, but the cries still escape through the cracks, reminding everyone that some souls never find peace…
