Arjun, a passionate writer, moved into an old colonial house to find inspiration for his next story. The villagers warned him — “That place holds a restless soul.” Ignoring them, Arjun began writing late into the night.
One evening, while typing, he heard faint
whispers behind him. When he turned, the room was empty — except for a candle flickering on its own. The next morning, he found a note on his desk written in trembling handwriting: “Finish my story… or join me forever.”
Terrified but curious, Arjun dug into the house’s past and discovered that a
young woman named Meera once lived there — a writer who died mysteriously before completing her novel. Her unfinished manuscript was never found.
That night, the whispers grew louder. Arjun saw Meera’s reflection in the
mirror, her eyes hollow yet pleading. He picked up his pen, completing her story in one breath. As he wrote the final line, the room filled with light — and Meera’s ghost smiled before vanishing forever.
But when the publisher received Arjun’s draft, his signature wasn’t there — only one name was written in blood-red ink:
“Meera.”
